It's a cinematic moment that you control. The implication of Ganon assuming a form of pure rage was that he would use this form to destroy Hyrule, essentially ruining all your best laid plans (again). That moment wasn't meant to be a challenge, you'd already gotten a challenge out of his first form. The second form was cementing how dangerous Ganon was from a story perspective. And it was epic.
