no, or I suppose I should say 'it wasn't', ever since the social justice crowd decided that putting black people on a pedestal (again) was preogressive, it's made it harder for me not to see black main characters as 'the designers either did this to virtue signal or because the executives actually forced them to do it'.

gaming became politicized because of them, and it's made my own viewpoint narrow in some kind of defensive measure, it makes it hard to see decisions as genuine anymore, my mind has been poisoned.
