I imagine it would be appealing to people with handicaps (in fact, I think there's some dev commentary where Naughty Dog talks about adding options for handicapped people in Uncharted).
But really, it's a massive draw for people who don't really play games. It's crazy how many times I've seen someone just browse their phone or text somebody in the middle of a game without even bothering to pause. So movie games allow people to play a game the same way they might binge a shitty Netflix series.
Of course, there's also the retards who think that movie games are more artful, despite not even playing to the strengths of the fucking medium (interactivity, for games). It's like saying a movie with shitty cinematography and constant shaky cam is 10/10 because of its story, or a book with awful prose is great because of its story. Which, funnily enough, we do see, with shaky cam movies with tons of cuts getting massive box office numbers.

The thing about Lost Legacy is that the gameplay is genuinely pretty fun, there just isn't enough of it and the shit character writing doesn't make the long sections of walking justifiable.
