I've never played isometric RPG /v/.
What do you suggest?

To play an isometric RPG
kill yourself
and by kill yourself I mean play fallout 1
>>388190878
dust of you're mega drive and play shadowrun
fallout 1,2
Baldurs Gate 2
Planescape torment
Are absolutely required. After that it's up to you, really

>weeb + MGS poster
don't try
consolefags will never be able to comprehend an isometric RPG
>>388190878
Most of isometric RPGs like >>388191395 are either turn based or a combination or real time/pause.
If you want turned based, I'd rather suggest Divinity OS first. It's not that complicated but you can have a blast with the system alone.
For the other one, I'd suggest - though not an isometric RPG, but it has tactical view - I'd go with Dragon Age Origins.
After that it's really a question of preference.
Underrail.

BG1 or IWD are good starting points tbqh. Not too complex, and not too long either.
>>388191395
I tried fallout 1 and the combat seemed abysmal

iso rpgs are probably not for you then
try shadowrun dragonfall if you want something newer

Final Fantasy Tactics, and only Final Fantasy Tactics - they are the only ones you should need and you should be grateful I'm letting you play even those.
