After making custom games real for Dota 2 and them never becoming a thing, Valve should know well enough that dota community doesn't give a shit about anything else than playing dota. Custom games didn't take off because Valve aborted it with the worst level editor known to man and a top10 played list which has already killed Starcraft 2 custom games.
