Kinda good metroidvania, not that hard, but still evasion-through-dashes-and-jumps-oriented. Good exploration part, good visuals. A bit melanholic, but good soundtrack, especially Mantis lords battle. Might look like some tearmaker at some moments.

Use a controller

Don't hold back on the exploration, the map is 10x bigger than what seems to be and there is at least a thousand of different shit to do

The endings are based on how much shit you have unlocked, so there is no shame in looking up on the internet about all the bullshit you missed. the idea of the game is that it aways saves before final boss, so you can aways replay it to go back for crap you missed to get another endind, belive or not, the shit you missed is in fact mostly very funny.

There is a ton offspecial abilities, you just need three to end the game, but they all make the game fun.

If you are having a hard time, try going to another direction, you will aways find some shit that will make you evolve stronger

Backtracking may be a ass, but gets easy after the fourth ability

The only thing related to dark souls is the weird-to-follow story and souls as coin. The characters and scenarios make up for it

Most of the nu-/v/ gave up because the combat is purposely ass in the beggining and they don't even know that there is more than three maps

I never liked Castlevania's sprite work(except for commercial artworks) to be honest.They all look uninspired and generic 80-90's tier pixel art.The enemies were also generic for the most part and the area designs were inconsistent and dull-looking.
