Ammo is super scarce and melee attacks are as effective as whacking enemies with a piss soaked sock. The game highly favors stealth but the stealth mechanics are janky as fuck. Enemies follow the same scripted patterns and your stealth kill is the same recycled animation of stabbing a zombie in the brain.

If you've never played Resident Evil 4, then you might find it enjoyable.

Exactly my sentiments. I spent about an hour on chapter 1 trying to get back that fucking butcher, hoping that the game would get better in ch2, but no, it got much worse.

The thing that got me with the stealth was the camera. I couldn't work with it.

It's alright. A majority of the launch problems are taken care of and I enjoyed my time with it despite its horrific flaws.
Don't expect to be scared by any of it, but enjoy it for the gore porn that it is.

I was thinkgen about getting this game too.
I've heard DLC(s) are crucial to understanding the game's plot/add the conclusion or something like that. Can anyone elaborate, thanks?

2 of the DLCs are the "Seperate Ways" plot where you follow a different character.
The 3rd is a strangely satisfying 1st person action game where you are in control of the safe-guy.
