Should make a game as Nazi soldier protagonist fighting agaimst the Allies. The ending inevitably leads to an ally win and you being charged for war crimes or dying of cold outside Stalingrad. One of those games where its bittersweet, but you die all the same. It could even have legitimate march songs like Erika.

I see people talking about Reach, which I haven't played, so I guess those people can probably fill me in on this: How do you portray losing in a (historical) FPS campaign?
Besides just being told by the word of God that you're losing the battle, you're always going to survive and have 100+ kills under your belt.
It feels kinda cheap if you single-handedly killed a company's worth of men as just a regular dude, but then get told that you have to retreat because other people are incompetant.
That is, unless they kill your character and make you play as different people within the squad, but I feel that would be kinda disorientating and take away from the experience at the same time.
