/v/ actually loves todd and his games. ES games are among the most discussed games on /v/ and everyone who criticizes Fallout 3 and 4 is just meming to fit in. They will say things like "I enjoy it but it's objectively bad" or "It's not true Fallout but I had fun with it."

Not going to lie, I'm cautiously hoping that Skyrim has decent controls. VR combat in games like Gorn is pretty fun.

Devs are discovering tricks around it but nobody's going to be doing parkour in it anytime soon, least not standing.

Onward gets away with regular movement controls but it's walking and sprint speeds are realistic, so a lot slower. Couple of games get around it by enabling shutters when moving, narrowing the players vision to a small hole in the center.

Other ideas were using the controllers to 'pull' yourself forward, like your hands are doing the walking. No sickness but hard to manage on top of using weapons.

While I have seen this happen, it's more of a nurture thing. Being told, even by other women, that certain things aren't for them or would seem weird for them to take an interest in. That's not exclusive to gender though. There are many people who are told or think they can't do something because of race or background. Thankfully these barriers are breaking away.
