I'm sure many will call this bait, and for the record I do like TvC, but I honestly like Nitroplus Blasterz more if you're looking for a somewhat similar experience. It's a little more grounded and less crazy than TvC and with shorter combos, but I can't really think of many other non-Capcom airdashers with assists that come remotely close in comparison.

I know this is probably bait and you're expecting "not a fighting game" responses, but I'm going to respond to this seriously.
Melee is far too reliant on fishing for grabs or jump cancelled attacks rather than the actual use of spacing, punishing and opening the opponent up with mixups, the tremendous amount of infinite combos that see top level play is laughable, the horrendous one sided matchups, god awful hitboxes which leads to certain normals being abused to all hungrybox for being "boring")

Game is so broken and imbalanced that the tier disparity actually affects how interesting it is, not entirely unlike 3S. Sure, the mechanics are cool or whatever, but I get sick of seeing the same 4 or 5 characters fight each other ad infinitum.

Pizza Cats was a problem of timing. At the time TvC was made, it was a looong dead IP that hadn't been touched in like a decade and a half. Then in 2012 suddenly someone somewhere decided it was commercially viable again and we got dvds, a book, more dvds, toys, crunchyroll streaming, more toys, a localization of the aforementioned book, etc... But of course, now that all that has happened and made the Pizza Cats IP slightly relevant again, it looks like there's never going to be another TvC game. Timing is the thing, it's true.

Nah, the rosters really well balanced barring Giants. The only real issue is Zero having no barrier of entry for how good he is.
Giants are super fucked though, all of there MUs may as well be 1:9 or 9:1 with the determining factor being "Can the other character reliably break armor or not"
