Well, your dream might become a reality. There is already a MHW thread up with a few hundred replies, so this might be a slow comfy thread.

I actually don't want any monsters to return but if we were forced more returning monsters then I'd go with Kushala Daora, Sand Barioth, Vespoid Queen, Chameleos, and Zinogre since these monsters would be able to interact with the new mechanics like territories and environments.
I can imagine things like Kushala/Sand Barioth allowing hunters to ride the winds since it is in the description of the new Glider Mantle, Zinogre/Vespoid Queen interacting with the new bug fauna. I could see things like tricking Zinogre into drawing para bugs and using flash bugs to reach charges faster, and Chameleos because of the way it moves around

Only ones you really need to play is Freedom Unite, 3U and 4U all the rest you can ignore. For tips, you should really read up on how armour skills work.

Start with 3U or 4U

All weapons are viable, some are more viable than others, some of the slower weapons can seem shitty early on because of the speedy small monsters, they shine on larger targets

Do single player village quests first to learn how to carry your own weight and upgrade your basic material accumulation and stockpile, this is especially important in 4U because of items called wystones which aren't otherwise obtainable and very important for fighting endgame monsters
