PSP had games people actually wanted back then, Vice City stories was incredible for what it was, people were still in love with FFVII so they even believed Crisis Core was good, GoW 2nd portable game was actually good, then the weebgames with ACTUAL GAMEPLAY NOT FUCKING VN and some ports were good, also easy PSX emulation on the go in 2005.

I agree because in 98' I got my PSX exactly for that reason, but PSP had lots of great games coming out even before easier methods than getting a fucking PANDORA battery that could brick you came out.
Easy CFW through usb was relatively later in its life, it's not like the NDS and its immediate flashcarts.

Compare that to Vita, which in 3 years has some PS3 ports, 2 actually good games(Soul Sacrifice and Gravity Rush) and a bunch of weebshit VN with no gameplay as its main selling point and it's not only piracy that lacked for its success.
Even now as it's getting hacked more and more I still don't see a point in getting one.
