I've been thinking about this, Iggy's a fucking psychopath. He can't come up with a recipe in 5 seconds unless he's a super genius. The only reasonable answer is he's figuring out the recipe WHILE he's fighting. While the party is all desperate and fighting for their lives he's dissecting the crazy monsters in his mind, as he's tearing into their flesh with his daggers he's wondering what kind of broth he could cook it in, and whether or not a piece of the shell he's bashing could make a good decoration on the plate. He must be DOOMguy tier badass.

He's also the most emotionally mature of the 4. Noctis is bipolar, Prompto's a girl, and Gladio won't stop yelling at Noctis. Compared to the people he's with, he's great.

I get he wears glasses for "perfect" vision but you would think lasik would be a thing in this world.

I agree the 15 party members were interesting, they had a little bit of depth to them. Like Prompto having low self-esteem because he used to be a fat bastard , and Gladios ineptly trying to be like a big bro/father figure to Noctis. I got the feeling all of them relied on Ignis too much though. He drove the car, he cooked the meals, he was the main plot exposition guy, he decided where the crew should go almost all the time. Noct never developed into a leader throughout the game.
