Modded skyrim into something enjoyable. After hours and hours of modding everything i dont like about it i managed to get pretty close to perfect imo:
- requiem for deleveled world, skill tree revamp, rewarding exploration and difficulty ( making bosses and things like vampires actually hard to take down) plus some cool changes to the worl
- no quest markers + better quest objectives so that quests dont feel pointless and incredibly easy. now i actually have to read the journal to know where im going
- no fast travel + enhanced carriages
- expanded towns and settlements to make them actually interesting, populated cities so that everything doesnt look like a ghost town, immersive college of winterhold
- interesting npcs
pretty fun so far even with the glaring flaws i cant fix like the combat

There is no need for you to play Mother 1 since 2 is basically a revisited Mother 1.
There will always be atleast one guy telling you to play Mother 1 but it's really not worth it.
Imo it's even better to skip out on Mother 1 since then Mother 2 will feel fresher
