Is there a mod for Oblivion or Skyrim to add this feature? I know you can make essentials killable with a simple .ini tweak, but there's no way to know if someone that just died was important or not. It'd be cool if there were a mod that kept track of the essential NPCs and gave you a message like that if one of them died. Plus depending on your number of loaded cells it's possible for characters to die way off screen, so it'd be a nice way to alert me that someone died at all in the first place.

I only played Oblivion for a little bit with essentials killable, but I had several occasions where NPCs required for quests died without any kind of message that I noticed. It's the main reason I went back to leaving them essential, since I had NPCs get fucked by daedra or even the goddamned city guards when the AI goes crazy. Didn't even bother testing with Skyrim.

Oh that's great. I've been looking into Requiem for a few months now but I've heard it has some balance issues. Just reading the pdf manual always made me excited though so I guess I'll give it a try, especially if it has that feature.
