Your dumb bait aside, it pisses me off how much /v/ shits on something like Dishonored 1 and 2 for being too easy and then proceed to pretend Thief and Thief 2 are the height of difficulty and tension and it's totally impossible to just casually run around knocking people out. I am able to run through Thief 1 and 2 levels on the hardest difficulty and it's not even that hard. YOU WERE FUCKING KIDS WHEN YOU PLAYED THESE GAMES. WAKE UP, YOU NOSTALGIA GOGGLED FAGGOTS.

My point is: The Dishonored games are excellent and you're all fags if you disagree.

That said, I feel sorry for anyone who can't enjoy the original Thief games enough that they do feel tense. Of course they're not difficult, you couldn't even play them like an FPS if you wanted to since you only have so much broad-head arrows. And yeah sure you can run around knocking guards out left and right and playing hide and seek with whoever's alerted by that or just game the fuck out of the AI but where's the fun in that? If you apply the slightest bit of roleplaying (the role of Garrett) to it it becomes 100x more fun, same as with Dishonored. And Expert difficulty is the only way to play unless you're looking for everything to be a tutorial mission. I agree fully on Dishonored being excellent in its own right though.

This is a bit like reading "according to some" on wikipedia though. I browse /v/ quite a bit and probably a fair chunk of Thief and Dishonored threads and I barely ever see people make a direct comparison, Thief are stealth games and Dishonored can be played like one but just the fact that Garrett has no superpowers and is more vulnerable in direct combat just makes it different. I wouldn't care that much about people's personal preferences.
