It's pretty poorly made. There are glitches everywhere and the net code is horrific but most people don't notice because you just assume someone was behind you.

I'm not arguing that it's not poorly made, I just don't get the ire. It's some dumb little indie PC game that caught popularity and /v/ acts like it's the worst thing that's ever happened.

This game will be so fun for just running around while listening to podcasts, music etc when playing solo and with friends it'll be fun of course like every game.

It's dota/league/assfags all over again, a game gets popular that is by design targeting a niche audience, but managed to get a following beyond that.

pretty much. The hype on this will probably die off at a certain point very rapidly. Reminds me alot of Day Z standalone launch or the culling. Also, seeing as ubisoft and other announced they are looking to add this format to their future games now and possibly even considering something like this as an addon for wildlands the market next year will possibly have a lot of similar clone games and the user base will probably spread out quiet a bit.
