Once in Matia's Zone, the characters must work together to solve the final puzzle and escape the planet - and find the answer to the riddle of the missing Argilans.

Oh God here i go.

Myst 4 is the toughest by far if you don't know what you're doing. Some of it's bullshit but you need great intuition and pattern recognition to get by without the guide they actually included in the game.

You want something "intellectual" just try brute forcing your way through it without the guide.

Already ordered the DVD. It comes in a nice big box.
>>
>>388097819

Nah because the fire marble puzzle was simple and solid in design. Ubisoft could fuck right off with the timed/motion sensitive nonsense with targets that jump around the map.
>>
>>388097331
The game never tells you that you can rotate items in inventory
They didn't even encourage you to do so because every item looked like shit so there was no reason to admire different angles of those crappy items.
>>
>>388098484
Gotta agree there, some design decisions were absolute shit in Revelation.

EoA didn't live up the hype too, but Negilahn was bretty gud.

>>388098578

tbf EoA was made from a cobbled together, failed season 2 of URU. Was always kind of sad uru didn't pan out; It very nearly sunk that company.

Obduction was financially limited and didn't meet its full potential either, as good as it is.
>>
>>388099402
URU Live was a mistake, frankly. I don't know what drugs Rand was smoking at the time, but holy shit, they should've nixed the multiplayer components.

Falcon 4 BMS Mod
>>
>>388099491

The thing is, if you look at the concept art and documents, it was fully envisioned as an MMO from the very beginning and the scope of that project was absolutely massive.

Not to go on a tangent but what's produced for uru is just a tiny fraction of the original vision and it's still a freaking massive game.

They had some really neat ideas for it you can read up on but they put all their eggs in one basket for such a niche market and Robyn left; It's a fucking wonder that guy's been able to subsist on porting and remaking Myst for just about every platform still seeing use to this day.
Obduction was cool but you can tell they didn't have the funding they needed to go all the way and I wonder how they did sales.
>>

Dominions 4
Zacktronic games
Factorio

Men of War
>>
>>388099819
And the MMO vision was its fatal flaw. They were trying to combine two incompatible genres.
>>
>>388099819

The irony is that uru falling through as an mmo having been designed to be one made the game world that more genuine in how dead and empty it is.

Also please stop saying The Witness is an "intellectually engaging" game. It's basically a 3D world with a lot of the same puzzle with different variations plastered on walls all over. It's like if someone drew a really fancy painting you could go inside and then scattered pages of a Sudoku book all over it.
>>
>>388095280
