It's true though? A sword blow delivers more physical damage than a bullet penetration. You'd have a point with grenades or artillery, but not with most regular firearms.

"Damage" in large majority of games is dealt in a very abstract way that doesn't translate to anything concrete (more often than not you can take blows as though nothing had happened and then you step on a lego and lose that one last hit point and drop dead that very moment) so damage values are meaningless as well in real-world terms.

Although it's possible to think of circumstances in which being hit with a sword might be more immediately incapacitating than being hit with a bullet: a nice clean bullet wound through an arm causes you to lose blood more quickly and is more treatable than a cut to (or even through) the bone.
