Yes, but I guess it depends on how much repetition you are willing to put up with because Vanillaware unfortunately doesn't have enough time or money to invest into more art assets~

Still a fun game even if you're not willing to go through all of the playthroughs. Though I do warn you, there are 5 characters whose stories have to be played through completely in order to unlock the next and Velvet is last as far as I remember.

It's worth it if you enjoy side scrolling content and if you can stand waiting through 4 other characters in order to play her arc.

She is the weakest damage character with the highest skill cap though. Mercedes and Oswald have a higher damage output.

I got it a couple of months ago, im on i think the last chapter boss rush. Loved what ive played of it. Highly recommend, great game to zone out to. The storey didnt hold my intrest the whole way through but art is A+

Game was a lot of fun. The PS2 slowdown was brutal though, if the remake fixed that you're golden.

My only gripe is that her stages felt way too short. She was jarring to get used to but man once you get her rolling there is just something magical about going full dakka against the cunts that used to give you trouble.

I really wish her normal shots were piercing, but I guess that would made her op.
Meanwhile Velvet doesn't even have a skills that would let her phase through bosses like every other characters does. Even fucking Mercedes, who can just keep dodging back and still doing damage from distance.

In my top 5 list of latest games I actually enjoy.

Others being Bloodborne, Dishonored 2, Persona 5 and Zelda BOTW...
To think of it, that's actually the only games I enjoy on this gen so far.
