God damn the spawns were close as fuck, it turned every match into a non-stop clusterfuck in the middle of the map instead of both sides spawning back in their bases and having to make their way back to the fight.

Chico was the perfect candidate to play a body double for BB, for more than a couple reasons. He was suffering from PTSD and immense guilt for what Skullface forced him to do to Paz. He felt guilty for betraying his comrades on mother base.

He was mentally broken and unstable. It would have been easy for Ocelot to mentally trick him into thinking he was someone else, and Chico's mind would probably leap at the chance to distance itself from the painful memories. He was the perfect candidate, essentially. Being forced to draw fire in place of BB was part of his "Punishment". Throughout the game, parts of his original self would slip back in, torturing him.

Can you imagine? Being forced to lose your innocence at a young age, being put in a coma, and then not even being allowed to be yourself once you wake up, essentially having your adulthood stripped from you too as a form of penace to Big Boss? (and Big Boss being down for it, since he goes on to use child soldiers himself).

....instead we got le random medic twist.

He was BB's right hand man and best soldier they had at MSF besides BB himself and they brainwashed him to believe he was and they implanted memories of each of the missions the real BB went through on record over the 9 years he was in a coma. Ocelot knew, but he did that self-brainwashing thing he did in MGS4 to forget and think he was the real deal. No one else knew.

Fun fact though, he actually has slightly lower stats than what BB had in Peace Walker.
