I played it and it is just the average king of the hill camper game where you find loot and you get most likely shot in the back by some cheater.

I know one of the biggest reasons its so popular is that the matches rarely ever go over 40mins and most normalfags don't have a lot time to spend on games.

I enjoy it because (especially in FPP) it rewards playing tactically over just twitch-shooter skills. I have no problem with reflexed based shooters but sometimes its nice to outplay somebody mentally instead of physically. It also has a really good difficulty progression with it being easy early-game and incredibly tense late game.

This. I honestly got the full experience of this game just by watching a few let's plays, some pro players, and some retarded players. The game at high level basically devolves into team battles and scavenging. After you scavenge, it's just another TPS. If you aren't in a team, or you don't scavenge fast/well enough, you're dead.
