In the genre it's all-around the best, Bloodborne and Demon's Souls do some things better though. You can't really compare or name a better game than Dark Souls outside the genre without sounding like those retards that said Crash Bandicoot was like Dark Souls.

I'm depressed I couldn't properly enjoy Bloodborne because I was so burnt out on From games when I played it. It was just not fun or as challenging because the combat is so similar. The world was neat, but even that was diminished somewhat by my subjective preference for the regular souls aesthetic...

I had a similar experience with DaS 3, my first play through was right after a marathon of the whole series and it never felt really challenging barring 1-2 bosses. I understand some people like playing Souls over and over and over again, but I feel like that ruins your experience with From games then on. As long as you don't completely master it's systems, it can always offer you a fun experience

Yh. For my own sake I really hope the rumours of them working on a Bloodborne sequel isn't true because I think they've reached the end of what their current combat mechanics can do and need to significantly change things up. Maybe make a game where there's a bigger magic component? Iunno...
