Err. I'll grant you that it's definitely worth playing at least once but I wouldn't go as far as drowning it in praise.

I still play it sometimes. The controls took some getting used to for me. They felt clunky as fuck.

Get the GOG version, it fixes a map bug that misaligns the actual map and the icons on it when playing on high resolutions. That shit is annoying as fuck, you don't want to play the game with it.
