Wooly World is a close second which was nice and if were talking 2d platformers in general I think Dong Freeze is considered to be the top by a lot of people not.

If your talking in the realm of Mario games, Galaxy, Galaxy 2 and 3D World have already surpassed it.

I don't understand why they continue to make the music in Yoshi games so dorky. Wooly World was a step up but still not quite there.

The music direction in the original Yoshi's Island was sublime. What happened after is baffling and infuriating.
