I fucking hate Overwatch

I'm just not excited for it at all and I don't even know why because I really like Monster Hunter and played it since Freedom 2nd on PSP.

I'm really into weapon proficiency though, like stylish stuff (not the styles or hunter arts though) I mean things like reading the monster like an open book and doing cool stylish stuff to mess with it.

Anyone else feel like MHW won't necessarily provide that kinda playstyle?

Swaxe is best weapon.

It's fascinating to me how much extraneous, meaningless shit people are raising a stink about now that it's obvious the combat is intact.

The game is about hunting monsters. If it's still fun to hunt monsters, I don't care about the overwatch backpatting postgame bullshit. As long as I can smash a monster's brains in with a hammer made out of its brother, nothing else matters.

Gen fixed it a bit by making attacking the mounted monster end the mount faster, although most people would still take the ~10 seconds or so to sharpen and reload instead, and maybe pop a might pill.

monster hunter has traditionally been quite grounded, despite the fantasy setting. For example all the tents/buildings/weapons/armor are made out of monster parts, as if its a real civilization making do with the resources available to them

just because something is ridiculous in the real world doesn't mean it's out of place in the monster hunter's setting. It was always rather internally consistent, more so than other games. When people complain about stylistic changes they're talking about breaking the consistency the previous games have setup, rather than it being realistic or not.
