It's a """"competitive"""" game that's balanced around the Worst percent of the player base, where currently only around 1/4 of the characters are actual viable to use.

Blizzard tried to make a competitive game that a 4 year old could play.

Low skill ceiling, small poorly designed maps, it's impossible to have even half the characters be part of "the meta" at any given time due to how large the roster is meaning at least half the characters will always be shit.

For playing specifically, if you don't have anyone to queue up with, you're going to get shat on by groups of 2+ people who are actually using teamwork.

Because it's nothing but a bunch of mirror or near-mirror comps that do a bunch of poking until they get ults and then it's a battle to see who pressed Q better. Whoever controls the cameras for these tournaments is also fucking terrible and misses a bunch of action.

My biggest problem with watching an overwatch tournament is the camera work. The game is way more digestible when following a single player/hero like a regular twitch stream. When you have two random announcers shouting over the entire match and constantly switching between heroes all over the map on both teams to "catch the action" it becomes impossible to follow anything that's going on.

The very nature of having a low skill ceiling in a competitive game basically means every match plays out the fucking same with the same plays being made around the same 3 ults.

Blizzard thinks it's okay to queue solo players vs entire, coordinated teams so you can't even enjoy the game at a low level.

The only form of depth there is to learn in this game is communication and the synergy of comps and ulti's. And that's pretty boring.

Like honestly, look at most pro matches and a platinum match. Shit is similar in many respects.

I was playing lucio ball yesterday.

On one account I placed silver when all of my teammates threw.

Then I redid it again on my other account and won 9 games in a row and got into a masters game and scored 2 goals and my MASTERS teammates let in 4 goals. So we lost and I got placed 70 short of master.

I also did the same thing in comp and had 4 dc teamate games and teammates who refused to play tanks or healers and went stupid shit like attack torb and hanzo and I got placed SILVER again.
Now Im done it on my other account and the first game we lost because some faggot dced and then Ive won the other 8 games in a row and have one more game to play.

I AM THE SAME FUCKING PERSON DOING THE SAME EXACT SHIT

At launch it was pretty good tbf, and by that i mean the unbalanced broken launch was the most balanced version of the game.
