According to DSP, slowbeef of retsupurae fame played the most significant part. Like the "Colonel, I didn't manage to avoid drowning" video and "A Day in the Life of DSP" were some of retsupurae's most popular videos.

Although I think it was EvilAJ's compilations that started it all. They gained more popularity than DSP's videos and people started to know DSP as "that guy who's in those compilations".
