What games have the best destructible environments? Because hiding behind cover is the gayest shit possible.

Dying is even more gay

no competition

Probably this, but it's still not great. It's like everything is made from plywood.
Not sure if its the best but hatred has some decent destructible environments. Always fun to see stoves, fire extinguishers and circuit breakers go boom

It would have been better if so many of the walls in buildings weren't made of indestructible material

Red Faction Guerilla
There is no other answer
>>387996820
>mission to assassinate a guy
>he's holed up in a partially finished building with tons of exposed support beams at the top
>melt a few of the beams at the base
>entire structure collapses, killing him and everyone else inside it
The sickest shit
I'm sad the destructible environment gimmick disappeared.
I know it's still in some games but it's not a big thing. Late 00s Early 2010s it was made out to be the standard for games.
Battlefield barely has it.
Red faction is kill.
Rainbow six it's pointless 50% of the time.
Crackdown 3 had a big presentation then disappeared and hasn't mentioned it since.
Surely with the Open World Sandbox being the big seller it is you'd try push that Sandbox bit further with having the freedom and replayability that destruction brings.

This shit gave me a boner. Shame it's limited to multiplayer.
