no clue. I found the ps4 abyss odyssey demo yesterday. love games that let me attack with the right analog stick. makes me jizz. never heard /v/ talk about it.

It's PC indie Tower Defense game but with interesting plot. Existentialism, isolation, immortality, godhood, this game deals with all of the 2 deep for you lore, also the gameplay is innovative for a TD.
>>387994728
It was flavor of the month. Plenty of people played it.

Got that like a year ago, yet to play it. Convince me to install and get started.

if the thought of attacking with the right analog stick doesn't get your dick hard, you're beyond salvation. commit suicide.you can press square if you're gay.

Bought Zanzarah for two bucks, figuring I'd get a bad game to put a few hours in. Got a decent one instead.

German Pokemon with arena shooter combat.
If that doesn't sound great, I don't know what you're on.
>>387996287
>>387996023
did that look good to you?
This apparently. At least on Steam. I got the badge for it and it's the rarest badge I have. And I have a couple level 5s and foil badges.

no. lol.

It's a Princess Maker style game by Oyari Ashito, one of my favorite artists. He has another in the works, but I forget the name of it. You're a wizard teaching the two girls in the front to be witches. The other three are supporting cast, and my favorite character isn't actually pictured there. The spells are cast by rolling dice to generate mana, which also works as xp, and it's really neat that all of the characters have story lines and endings. You don't have to marry your daughterus if you don't want.
If you like the life management style games, this is probably my favorite, though Magical Diary: Horse Hall is up there too. And might be another contender for this thread, actually. Those kinds of games are much more niche than I thought.

You know you can appear offline if you're that much of a pussy that you don't want friends to know what you're playing, right?
Though if you're playing something like that, I'd be surprised if you had friends at all.
>>387997320
Who's your favorite, then? The elf?
hard mode. Because I had no other games.
It's as awful as you'd expect of something developed by Bethesda and published by Ubisoft
>>387998987
The brown architect slut I posted is my favorite. But I need to play it again, I might be misremembering. My favorite thing is breaking brats, and I think that was the huntress's storyline, but I can't quite remember. I either just can't remember, or her storyline turned to femdom, which I hateso I dropped it and went to the architect instead.
And then there's the catgirl maid, but I know i didn't get to her storyline.

I meant like your dad or whatever the fuck, lol. I'd understand, but a lot of people would lolwut pretty hard.
I need help to find this
>>387994616
Really enjoyed this, wish I got more attention. It's pretty twisted stuff. Wish the npc and enemy scripts wouldn't break so easily though.
>>388001837
Looks pretty neat. Might pick it up if it goes on sale during spooktober.
>>387994616
My biggest problem with Abyss Odyseey is that I finished it in five hours and felt like I had no reason to replay it. That doesn't really bode well for games with random level generation.
It plays like babby's first ARPG but it's charming.
>>387994616
Couldn't really get into it myself. Loved Zeno Clash 1, hated 2, hoped this would be a return to form, but I think I'm done with Ace for a while. Did they do that deadly tower of monsters game or am I making that up? How was that?
Litterally the first game I bought on the Steam store.
Soda Girls.
>>387994616
Aquaria was a super cool metroidvannia emphasizing utility power-ups over combat power-ups. The sprites are awful and the game ends on a cliffhanger of Fortune Summoners caliber that will never be continued, but otherwise its a rock solid game that I really enjoyed.
Not amazing, but it really scratches the Super Monkey Ball itch.
>>388006737
>How was that?
>INCREDIBLE art design
>fantastic idea with the game being a DVD commentary of a shitty Z-movie with tons of hilarious audio/visual gags
>which on the other hand means no reason to play it more than once unless you hunt for pretty obvious secrets
>ridiculously easy even on hard
>>387994616
Disciples 2
>>388006737
exactly the same as all their games, including the one in the OP: pretty but bad. It'd be a stretch to even call the gameplay mediocre.
>>388008028
I liked that the game was literally just one giant tower, one huge, ascending, "unbroken" level structure that even allowed you to drop from the very top all the way to the bottom.
>>387994616
I played that, I always buy ACE games because they are from my beloved country.
It's decent and the combat reminds me of SMB but the monk is way too OP wich is fun but I wish the other characters were a little bit better.
Where my Rune niggers at?
Renowned Explorers is probably the best random indie game I tried out and enjoyed.
The artstyle is pleasant and colorful, and the gameplay gives off a cheery "have fun" vibe. Great design choice for a game where you're supposed to "beat" it over and over.
But the reason the game's so great is that once you've beaten it a couple times, you realize how much depth and complexity the game has underneath the cheeriness and how much autism you can devote to truly min/max'ing the game to get the best scores.
I'm really fucking sad this game will never get any love on /v/ and I try bringing it up in these types of threads for it to get more attention.
>>388007098
Loved that game long before it was released for Steam.
>>388004128
An interesting thing to note about this game is it was made by the director of Alone in the Dark, not that it actually plays like it or anything.
>>388009367
I've seen TB recommend it and I had a look at it, but it doesn't seem like my thing. To be fair, it seems like the kind of game you can't figure out from just looking at some footage. But that's how it got on my radar, anyway.
>>387994616
Played and liked it, but honestly didn't play it very much. I'm playing DFO a lot now so it's sort of similar in some respects with the 2d sidescrolling and fighting game combat, but it also has the social aspect and sense of progression.
>>387994616
One of the best coop ive ever played.
>>388011104
Yeah I saw TB's video on it and that was when I realized just how bad at video games TB was.
The game's had 3 or so expansions since then and there's a lot more content now if you get into it.
The gameplay's pretty intuitive once you start playing, but the first couple playthroughs will end up in failure til you realize how to plan out your expeditions. I beat the game during my 4th time and after that, beating the game becomes trivial and it's more about refining your strategy and min/max'ing your way to keep racking up your score.

Which means you shouldn't be here

I have really good memories of this game. But im glad i lost the disk since i bet its fucking awful in reality
>>387994616
I loved pretty much every game from ACE Team and I think Rock of Ages might be my favorite game ever. Abyss Odyssey is pretty cool but not their best one.
