I did though. I have an 1800x. AMD makes great CPU's, their GPUs are shit tier though.
>>
>>387975885
Bad single core performance and low number of draw calls. My modded skyrim needs both.

I came here to point out how ignorant you are, but it seems other people handled that for me already.

In most cases the difference is negligible or can be made up with overclocking.
>>
>>387977171

Same, I have an i5-4570 that I got for $0 (remember kids, there's no such thing as bad hardware, only bad prices) and a GTX 760 that I got for $50 used (see note above) and that really is doing it for me.

I do miss my phenom IIx4 965 though, and also my wolfdale e8400, and my athlon XP, but one day I'll probably get Zen or Zen2, depending on if anything needs it.

desu everything I play runs fine on this, except maybe quake champions and everspace, but those are both dogshit games I'd refuse to upgrade for.

It will likely be so old that you don't notice the difference. If you're the original Skyrim retard your shit taste compels me to tell you to jump off a cliff regardless.

who uses single core in cinebench?
try a real single threaded game bucko

or maybe go buy a 4790X, since that has better single threaded than any 6600+ or 7700+

So, a 4FPS increase average over the 1700 (for all I fucking know that max FPS could be staring at the ocean, that average FPS is what you're going to get during actual gameplay), which has the same or worse gaming performance as the 1600, which costs 120 dollars less than the 7700k, comes with a better cooler, and isn't on an abandoned socket?

I just don't understand why thats worth it to you. Thats seems like a comical waste of money. And Bethesda hasn't released a good game in 14 years, I don't know what hole you crawled out of that you think they're ever worth mentioning.

I've used and built computers for years and never had any issues.
It just randomly started accepting nothing but linux distros and then no display at all, and confirmed it was the cpu eventually.
And considering the only things "wrong" you can do is fucking up the motherboard pins or applying too much paste which I didn't do because I'm not a how 2 apply thermal paste retard and the cpu suddenly started fucking up, I don't see how it would've been my fault.

There's no doubt Intel still has the upper hand single threaded and make for slightly better gaming CPUs, but GTAV has to be the most cherrypicked benchmark. You'd be a moron to believe its 25-30% performance gain over AMD is any representative. Also the pricing is a joke. You get a 1600 with 6C/12T for the same amount as an Intel 4C/4T.

they're companies, it's completely retarded to even like or dislike them, you just buy whatever is in your best interest, and the only thing you can hope for is a lot competition between them
