Is this the worst Zelda game?

Phantom Hourglass is the worst assuming we're not counting the CD-I games.

But Skyward Sword is still second worst, and the worst 3D Zelda game by a landslide, including clones and knockoffs.

Zelda II is objectively great. Skyward Sword was disappointing but far from terrible. There were some very good areas, but almost no traditional zelda-style exploration. I kept thinking there would be more islands in the sky a la WW, but eventually realized that the sky area just wasn't that big. The only handheld LoZ I've played is Awakening, which is obviously very good. I've never played a Zelda game that didn't at least make me want to beat it once. The truly good ones make you want to beat them over and over again. Link to the Past is my personal favorite. Haven't played BOTW yet.

The fact that the controls are motion controlled isn't the problem. Its the fact that the combat system and items are completely designed around the motion controls

Fights in this game consist of mostly humanoid enemies who line up to have an angle battle with you. This is a game made to show off the Wii controls and wiimote
Twilight Princess worked for the most part because it was a GC game they just quickly ported onto the Wii

No. The game was like 10x more gimmicky than PH control-wise. I hate using the mic, at the very least PH only had them in certain part of the game. Unlike Spirit Tracks where the main item forces you to uncomfortably blow into to mic.

I also fucking hated the train escort missions and the fact that you are locked into the rails. The sidequests are uninteresting to me because I hate being on the tracks.

The only thing this game got right was the music.

How can the worst game be underappretiated? It has the same damn problems as phantom hourglass, the shitty controls and the main center dungeon you have to keep going back to, but introduces a slow awful phantom knight zelda, all the items have some shitty gimmic including blowing into the mic, all exploration is ruined by the rails, the rails make travveling much slower than in PH because you can no longer just draw a straight line, and even then dungeons puzzles and town quests are simplified and worse (but that may be personal opinion)
