It didn't. "GG" isn't just about "good game" in a lot of vidya, it's become shorthand for a purposeful end of the game and so it doesn't necessarily have any relationship to how the game went. It's just that lots of us have shit interwebs and disconnects are still a thing. So tossing out "gg" is a short/polite way to recognize that game is over, and that if you quit at that point it wasn't because you dc'd or ragequit whatever.

I played the game for many years before quitting. I also played Dota for many years.

I still watch The International even though I haven't played any game of the genre in many years. It just disgusts me when a company tries to control its playerbase like that, despite the fact that they lie through their nose to the players.

They promised replays in the beta of the game in 2009. I remember. They finally added official replays towards the end of 2016.

I get you on that but I can't blame them. Their game is full of so many asshats it puts off new players. No new players means there cash cow won't last forever. Fucker will last decades, but nothing stays big endlessly. And they are trying to do something about that. So I get why they would, but it is rather dumb.

It would be easier if it was a small enough community you could just block and blacklist players so they couldn't play with you to some effect. I remember old MMOs were people could get enough of a reputation for being a rage inducing shitbag nobody would let them in a guild. They had to start over with a new account or humble the fuck up.
