It's not a matter of which one's better, it's the fact that SA1 allows you to choose each gameplay style separately. So you can see how you like the speed, treasure hunting, and mechs. SA2 forces you to play them all, so if it turns out that you only enjoy speed, you don't wanna play a game where you're forced to play the other modes

Did you read my post? I told him to play SA1 so he can see how he enjoys the gameplay styles. If he doesn't like them, then he doesn't like them. I really like the level design of Sonic Adventure 1 but it's so much fucking jankier than Adventure 2 normally and the PC port for Adventure 1 is shite (not even widescreen) whereas the Adventure 2 PC port is quite good.

If it's down to one or the other on PC? Adventure 2 is much nicer on PC
