Overwatch is far from dead, it's still drawing in new players and its easy to get into.

You can't judge a game based on it's community.
But blizzard will have to make a point on where the game is going, competitive shooter or eye candy for casuals.
Judging by their decisions to include deathmatch, and the upcoming changes to easy heroes like mercy, it seems it will go the e-sports route with their new OW League.

On the other hand CSGO is lacking content and updates and it seems that there isn't even anyone employed by valve to maintain that game.
Dota 2 will probably get swapped by that new card game which will get all the attention

I think the reason Overwatch's community is so "toxic" is because in an attempt to casualize the game and make it less about individual player skill, they decided to make it about character picks instead, and this is where all of the toxicity spawns from.

Because what characters you pick has such a huge role in determining who wins, people get pissed off at each other for picking shitty characters. Same goes for Mobas. How do you fix this? Make them game less casual and not depend so much on what character is picked.

I don't like that they put the only one hero per team thing.
I think that was the root of creating this moba mentality that is ruining the experience.

Most of the heroes in DotA are viable depending on the enemy and teammates, only 5 heroes went unused at TI7 (Techies is disabled in CM).

Im a diamond last season. Placed silver on one account this season. Another account in plat.

Played 25 games and 17 of them people dced and caused an autoloss on my team.

Played lucioball on one account and got placed in low gold.

Played it again on my other account and won 9 matches in a row and got into a masters game and the masters threw 4 goals and I scored 2 and we lost so I got placed in diamond.

It drives me fucking crazy that its based on teamwork rather then individual skill. It doesnt matter that im 40-5 when my teammates dc out of the game or throw themselves off the map because they are having some autistic meltdown.

I dont see how anyone would enjoy doing that and how people would continue to play it. Literally all of my friends have quit because of this reason.
