Fun level to fuck around in but as a mission it's extremely shit.

I see people on /v/ saying that BM is the best game all the time, and JFC you retards could not be more wrong.

SA was amazing, BM doesn't hold a candle to it.

Absolution wasn't really anything to write home about, it was a decent stealth game, but a horrid Hitman game. Too much focus on story.

Contracts and CN47 were decent, I haven't played them for a long time, I remember enjoying them, but I wasn't blown away.

2016 is great, they learned from the mistakes made in Absolution and fixed them, only thing I dislike (off the top of my head) is the opportunity mechanic, but you can easily ignore it and find 25 other ways through each level.

I've yet to hear any negative criticism on 2016 that was about gameplay, only shit like >>>>episodic

I'd say there's only few truly 'hard' missions: The one with the nuke guy, Meet Your Brother, The Setup (Arguably if you don't know you can just snatch the doctor disguise and everyone will ignore you)

You can play every Hitman without knowing earlier games. In case of 2016 you'll miss certain references in one story mission and some easter eggs, but that's pretty much it.
But you really should play Contracts and Blood Money.

After playing 3 onwards, 2 feels like it. Everyone autodetects you if you make the slightest wrong turn or get closer than a football field's length
1 barely is a stealth game at all, most missions you kill people in broad daylight then make a run for it while being shot at
Dont even get me started on the jungle missions baka.
Traditions of the trade is neat though

honestly for most people i wouldnt even recommend the older games to start with, i would say go blood money/2016 or maybe contracts
