Pretty sure the English version is straight up missing some missions. Beyond that, plot/radio chatter is still something mos AC fans seem to enjoy and it gives more meaning to your missions beyond the more arcadey aspect. It isn't necessary though. AC6 is still largely agreed to be fun as fuck despite having a pretty lackluster story.

Probably because bad gameplay in an Ace Combat game is an anomaly, not the norm, with good gameplay being the standard. The series as a whole is praised as fun arcadey flight combat, therefore individual games don't need to be mentioned unless a) they suck, or b) to list off the individual differences between each game, which usually aren't enough to be worth listing.
