Devs are holding an announcement stream for "several" new games. None of them are confirmed to be Yakuza games, but they've only missed two years since 2005 so it's probably a pretty good bet that at least one new Yakuza game will be announced for next year.

The level design looks on point really. The character models aren't great, but passable.
The problem is with the animations, but honestly they literally look like they are very rough WIP and were only quickly thrown together for the trailer. I wouldn't get too paranoid just yet.
I mean, their mouths don't even move when talking, they are literally not animated.

Fucking hell. Anyway, I don't find the combat as terrible as people were saying, but the screen-tearing around buildings is disgusting. Is it really that bad in the full game?

The cutscenes are fine, it's a nice introduction after Y5.
Performance is bad in the final version.
Plus there are only few combat upgrades so the combat literary stays the same way, no additional moves or combos which even Yakuza 1 had as final upgrades, and no secret moves either.
You really need to play the full game and beat it to realize how much content they have removed, it's bare bones.
And the story is not great either, actually they ruined the entire series with Yakuza 6 story and ending, they should just fire the hack writer because I can't stand his awful "dramas" anymore.

Its not that she ruined everything, its just the writing that ruined it, making her into an idol and hinging most of Yakuza 5's last act on fucking idol shit and YUME. And then hinging Yakuza 6 on everything after 5.
