No, it doesn't. Your disc is basically just a verification key that lets you download for free an emulated version of the game that is specifically tailored by Microsoft. It will only work for announced games.

No, it has to be a game listed as supported by backwards compatibility. You can't just stick in Madden 2003 and expect it to work if MS didn't take the time to recompile/repackage it to run on the Xbox One. They're basically ports but like, really fast and dirty ports with no changes to the content or visuals.

This. Considering that the OG Xbox and Xbox One both ran off an x86 architecture, it would be loads easier just to develop an OG Xbox emulator. It simpler than a PowerPC -> x86

Ps4 a while back got it for their emulator. I prefer Mercenaries Playground of Destruction and hopefully maybe they'll make Mercenaries 2 backwards compatible.

I've been recommended Just Cause 2 and I just can't get into it because the only thing fun is parachuting. I'm not that far though so I could be wrong.
