It's not though. The net's full of various potato PC builds, many of them totally BTFO of even the PS4 Pro.

>Tried to get into the PC gaming there's no good PC for 300 ameribux
You're not mixing the "building" and "buying" there, are you?

>Prove me wrong
Open up Youtube, search "(budget) $ gaming PC", check some videos.
I also cooked this just for you.

Don't buy prebuilt and buy directly from the manufacturers when possible. Doing that cuts out the middle man who will charge more then the component is actually worth to make some money off of it.
Wait for specials or black Friday.
>>
It doesn't matter because video games these days are dull and you can play all the games that matter (7th gen and before) on any crappy desktop PC with a mediocre GPU
>>
PC is a higher initial investment but it's also much more powerful, it's a fucking PC that you can use for infinitely more things than just video games, and you save more in the long run through sales

Am I seeing this right? I thought it was a lot more expensive then that. Also, my GTX 760 has the same VRAM as that card.

1050 ti has always been a max of 150$ card.
It's also low-power card, meaning many of its variants run only with the PCI-E port's energy, which means they don't use the 6-pin power connectors AND thus work on totally shitty PSUs.

Even the non-Ti 2GB GTX 1050 cards could do a lot of gaming done smoothly at 1080p, and be that 50 bucks cheaper if needed.

>>387913575
PS4 Pro costs 400 bucks, and that's not counting the monthly online fees, 60-80$ games, 60 bucks controllers, etc. All that for a locked system with no upgrade options, and loooong ass, automated installation / update procedures that will drive you up a wall.

>>387913575

By the same token, a console already costs $300, then you have to buy PSN+/XBL and games, which brings the cost up to $400.
>>
Buy a reasonably new, used office PC. Buy a used graphics card. Slap dat shit in a pci-e slot on the motherboard. PC gaming on the cheap.

If you want to buy parts: Get a good power supply, a good case, a motherboard to the newest memory standard (ddr4), and cheap out on everything else. You can upgrade those parts later, but those parts I listed will last you a decade or longer if you get a good one from the start. Make sure the motherboard has the right socket for your CPU and the RAM matches the standard (ddrX) and pin count the motherboard is compatible with.

You're on the internet. People have written thousands of guides about this shit that go into more depth.

>OP never adds in paying for your internet twice, buying a TV, etc.

What a pointless fucking thread. No one wants to really learn or discuss. It's just an endless circlejerk for (you)s

you literally don't need one.
Or could just loot one off a dumpster.

>>387913875
it's also extra 100 bucks (or more) for the Pro / Scorpio, if you want to play at higher than 900p and get more than 25fps average.
