Active devs - but appears to not know how to fix things in the end.
Rip complex constructions.

If you'd enjoy living in a universe with physics created by Greg Egan, you'd love it

kinda feels like it went downhill after th ey added planets
No Man's Sky is still better

Basically?
Space Engineers is fun.
It's entertaining to build spaceships, and then try to build ones using the survival rules, and then build ones in survival which are aesthetic.
But if you do it in singleplayer, there's no point other than your own autism.
If you do it in multiplayer so there's a point, it's impossible to do any of those things becuase the lag becomes so bad you feel like you're walking through a swamp up to your neck - even though the game tells you youre moving at 100m/s.
Of course, you ARE moving at that speed. So if the game chugs and you cant stop yourself in time, you're going to kill yourself just flying around your asteroid base.
Hell, at one point you could kill yourself by bumping into something at a jog.
The devs update the game constantly - which would be good, if they ever tested those updates.
Every week, you get a patch which fixes the bugs from last week, maybe. It also introduces a dozen more.
Of course, they do this before the weekend - so then they take their weekend off, meaning MP is usually even more unplayable until they get back into the office on monday and fix their shit.
What I'm saying is anon, I still have hopes for the game and I still yearn for it to be good.
But is isnt.
And it probably wont be for a long while.
If you want to build spaceships to yourself in singleplayer, then go for it and have a blast. Download some mods, build some ships, realise it's all pointless and quit.
If you want to play multiplayer, save yourself the heartache and the money and leave it.

>no multiplayer
>multiplayer that barely works and causes untold suffering
Checks out

>test out accelerational gravity
>accelerate up to just over moon gravity
>pass 4700 memes per second
>physics remained stable within the ship even with rotors and pistons

>first letters of every line don't spell out "gas the marek"
one job
slowly, but surely it's moving forward
devs are dedicated but utterly incompetent
in the far future there will be spengo worth playingand grim darkness and war
>>387896176
were they safety-locked?
>>387896279
No locks. I have no idea if it was the kitchen sink of mods I was using or KEEEEN stabilized the physics but something happened
>>387894516
Game is amazing after mods, really good tinesink.
>>387894516
It definitely has some issues but I think its the best sandbox game to date.
>>387896329
Got the centrifuge webm?
>>387896428
>Game is amazing
>>387896521
Nah, I have screenshots of large scale centrifugg in survival tho
>>387896521
Not that I can find, but it's somewhere probably.
>>387894516
I bought it on launch day, played about 100 hours and haven't touched it in like 3 years. Performance became too bad even with my pretty powerful rig.

>Re-draw them fully just to make space helmets look normal
What is this kind of autism called?
>>387897102
It's called the posterize filter on photoshop, dummy
>>387897102
it's just a filter on top of original picit's just called autism, ain't got any special name
>>387897240
except it wasn't done with it
