Law, Neutral or Chaos?

In most cases, neutral because SMT typically makes it out to be the best ending, or at least the one with humanity coming through rather than demons or gods. I do wish more of the games made it a more difficult choice though. Shit like SMTIV makes anything that isn't neutral into basically a bad end, or at least less satisfying with less content and story.

If it was a choice between law and chaos only though, I'd go chaos.

Neutral, because Atlus can't do alignments for shit, and make law/chaos far too extreme.

Demons is a catch-all term for supernatural creatures, divided into several races.
Angels are demons that are part of YHVH's gang and are Divine (generic angels mostly) or Seraph (high archangels like Michael or Gabriel) race. Lucifer's are usually Tyrant and Fallen race
