My first was dark souls 1, and while dark souls 2 had flaws, so did 1. And nobody ever hates on dark souls 2 for legitimate flaws, they just hate it because it's not the same.

Don't play it if you don't like it. Jesus fucking christ, it's a great game, but not as good as the others, and it does NOT magically become great later on. If the first 10 hours don't make you want to play on, quit. The ending is dumb and abrupt, DLC is great but not THAT great. It's a Souls game for when you crave more Souls but have played everything else to death already.

ADP as a stat was ok, it's implementation was terrible though.
All it needed was a few small animation differences like a little stumble when you do a roll, stuff that actually allows you to visually differentiate between low and high adaptability, not by just dissecting the game and counting i-frames.

After a few boss encounters that looked fucking awful I stepped in another boss room (there were 3 of them, I don't remember their names). They looked awful aswell and I didn't feel the atmosphere like I did in other Souls games so I decided to drop this game

those shitty areas in the dlcs were included by contractual obligation, the devs didn't even want to make them and you don't have to play them. They're just there as a demo to try and make people want the dlc, which is stupid. People who don't want the DLC probably aren't going to go do co op in them, and anyone who did certainly wouldn't buy the DLC because of those shitshows.

Still hate it. Especially playing it now where all i run into are ice rapier/warped sword and meta/troll builds well im just using a weeb Katana setup. Also when i run into people who magically take almost no damage from the same shit that is doing 1/5-1/6th from the average player when my weapon is +10/infused. Sometimes even the same kind of armor. I know Soul level lets people potentially be higher level that it feels oddly common. Atleast in DaS3 when i hit someone with a +10 weapon besides maybe a dagger it will always do some sort of respectable damage.
