Its decent, the exploration is fun and the combat can actually be pretty good during the fights with the girls.

I wish there was more to the class system and character selection. Too many of them are pigeonholed into a specific role due to how shit their skill selection is in all but one of their classes, and the way leveling up is random and seems influenced by equipped class is even more limiting. Feels like barring a few of the overpowered ones you get later, all the other characters you pick up will inevitably have worse stats than the party you've been using due to their initial classes usually being all-rounders.
