Why do that when it is in their interest to clear existing 3ds consoles and cartridges? Not to mention writing off all the manufacturering equipment. They want you to pay for both.

Switch only has one screen. What they should have done is come out with a 3DS Player for Wii U (like Game Boy Player for GameCube).

Top screen is the TV, bottom screen is the Wii U Game Pad. This would have moved Wii U systems.

I always said that they should make a 2DS add-on for the Wii U. Just take the guts of a 2DS, and shove it into a USB device to connect to the Wii U. Basically like what they did with the Super Gameboy. You got the gamepad as the bottom touch screen and the TV as the top screen. Maybe it wouldn't have been such a failure.
