Does anyone else miss big boxes?
No
they're taking up too much space in my home.
Not really.
We digital now.

>they're taking up too much space in my home.
then sell them to me, faggot
>>387842480
I like to draw dickbutt on these in a hidden place then resell them
Not at all. Fuck useless material possessions. The switch to digital didn't happen soon enough.
No. It takes on average 5 rain forest trees to make one computer game box.

Pretty much this. I even dislike having boxed media around and would much rather have digital than cluttered shit sitting about
>>387842480
I do, and not just for big boxes but boxes in general. I'd rather look fondly at a stack of boxes in a bookshelf than a list in steam.
>>387842480
I like big boxes and I cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny
That when a video game walks in with an itty bitty manual and a nice big box
You get SPRUNG
>>387842480
Absolutley. Although I like collecting things like vinyl, so it makes sense that I'd miss it.
>>387842480
No, only you. Nobody else. 7 billion people and only you miss.
No, the cardboard was always garbage. Only point in owning them is to later sell to some hopeless fool.
>>387842480
Everyone here is underageb&
>>387842480
Boxes? I miss having full color manuals that aren't just 3-4 pages long. Manuals that contain lore, tips, character bios and weapon information, maybe a map of the world, etc.
Speaking of, anyone tried calling one of those old "Hint Line" services they used to advertise in the manuals lately?
>>387842480
Some collector's edition boxes still do this so you can get those if you miss them so much
>>387842480
Yes, although I agree with those who say they take up too much space. At one point I had like 8-10 of them in my collection and they start taking up quite a bit of room very quickly. But still, I love how they came with big manuals or goodies like mousepads or game maps.
>>387842480
I'm too young to ever have owned a boxed game
>>387842480
I stopped missing big boxes after my 3rd move and them taking up too much space
>>387842480
They are bad for the environment.
>>387848328
Fuck the environment.
>>387847091
>Boxes? I miss having full color manuals that aren't just 3-4 pages long.
Fuck off underageb&. Big boxes had huge manuals.
>>387848515
Did I ever imply they didn't dumb ass? I just miss the manuals more than I do the boxes.
>>387847091
>Game manual is a literal book of 200+ pages explaining everything you have to know about the game
I miss them too
>>387848515
You know /v/ can't cure your idiocy, right?
>>387848328
You're bad for the environment
It was done for retailers, the bix size boxes made it hard for smaller stores to carry enough stock as the amount of available titles skyrocketed. Small size equals more games on the shelf.
>>387849162
>>387849829
OP obviously meant the entire package, large box and fuckhuge manual included, not literally just the box like you implied. How fucking autistic are you?
>>387847091
Manuals were the thing back then.
Now they don't bother finishing their games so they don't print manuals they can't edit...
>>387842480
no
takes up unnecessary storage space
