It was the last gen where most devs were allowed to take risks. Nowadays the chase for high tech, resolution and shit made development costs too high for that

An exact porting of every PS2 game to Xbox probably wouldn't work due to the former's architecture, but I get what you mean. The higher resolutions and frame rates seen in multiplat comparisons.
