Nobody said it was bad. The general consensus, outside of the fanboys, is that the game was well rounded, but that NSMB as a whole just overstayed its welcome. To be fair, NSMBU is the best of the NSMB set though. At the end of the day, the other side was just yearning for Mario Maker, which turned out great, but more importantly, foe the next 3D installment, as many people felt that 3D World and Land were more like 2.5D installments than legit 3D ones, like Sunshine and 64. Luckily, it seems like everyone will be happy in December, as Odyssey does look promising, and you just know Nintendo is going to start talking about a new 2D entry once it launches.

I had actually never gotten genuinely angry on /v/ until someone I was having a light argument with about EO's merit as a crawler told me Shining in the Darkness was a shit crawler and I should just play Wizardry, after I had stated multiple times that I had already finished with them.
