Really good stuff in here, and props on S&P. But I thought SMT IV was a huge disappointment.

3/6, really wish I liked Pandora's Tower and Okami. Pandora's Tower seemed like everything I would have liked -- body horror, boss fights, big towers you've gotta climb, and anime bullshit. But the gameplay was so goddamn simple and easy I just couldn't really enjoy it. When the game is all about heights and has several sections where there's special controls for moving along walls and such -- but it's impossible to actually fall off -- you lose all sense of height.

Daioujou though? You're a fucking madman. I like the game, but I could never play it for score.
And Linda^3 is probably the best RPG I've ever played.
moon and linda^3 really need translations
>>387820129
Also, while I love the game too (the soundtrack is amazing), do you really prefer FSR over The Silver Case and Killer 7?

You are eternally my nigga.

Muramasa and SoC are some of my favorites from that gen, good shit.

Lisa was far too weird for me, Pandora's Tower was just weird enough to be pretty good though.

4/4
Strange shit, but I like.
>>387820979
It's so goddamn fun. The ending sequence is amazing, though I think the first boss is still the best.
Too much weeb shit in this thread

>Daioujou though? You're a fucking madman. I like the game, but I could never play it for score.
I used to hate chaining but DOJ's aesthetic kept me coming back, and now I like the sense of rhythm it gives the game
>And Linda^3 is probably the best RPG I've ever played.
I'll have to pick it up sometime soon, then.
>>387820868
Yep, I fell head-over-heels for its intentionally obtuse design and surreal aesthetic. No other Suda game gives me a similar impression.
>>387820979
Also, have you played Threads of Fate yet? It's pretty much essential for anyone who liked BFM.
>>387819892
Is Alan wake really good? I hear the story is intese, is it fun? Or just good for the plot? Is it spooky?
>>387821293
come on anon, everyone's seen that shitty bait 3x3 already
at least contribute to the thread
narcissism general
>>387821438
Oh yes, Princess Maker 2 is much better than those games.
>>387821495
I think it's a nice way to learn about new games from other people with similar taste to you.
>>387821495
There's more discussion happening here than in the usual 3x3 threads.
>>387821356
It's not really that spooky. It's more of a thriller that draws inspiration from Twin Peaks and Stephen King.
I think the gunplay is basic but pretty satisfying. I'd highly recommend playing it on hard. If you're playing it on console then you're fucked because hard is lock from the start and normal mode is really easy mode.
>>387821549
>Princess Maker 2 is better than Halo, Smash, and fucking Runescape
Can't really disagree with that.
>>387821770
Lol
>>387821293
>>387821549
I think I can understand where you're coming from, but let me ask: have you ever played Princess Maker 2? You might be surprised by how deep, hard, and engaging of a game it is, even if the word "princess" might make you think it's for little girls.
Anyway, 4/9. Fallout and RC2 are a great time.

Everything about the game is just awesome imo.
>that turbo cheesy voice acting, with people having random accents for no reason
>that medieval/horror/sci fi/steam punk setting that comes off as endlessly unique
>that actually fairly simple but fun combat system
>those elemental power ups that give the games fairly open overworld a Metroidvania like quality
>that ability to buy toys, which are just high poly models of in game bosses and enemies
>that absorb ability and all the fun enemy moves you can use, like Kirby
>that amazing Squaresoft OST
I never understood why the game was so slept on, loved it as a kid and I replayed it a few years back and it still held up super well. I guess the pool of JRPGs is vast as fuck for the system, and people might write it off since it's an action RPG.
