It's a handheld. It's too recent to get ports of old games (besides Skyrim) and too weak to get ports of current games. All it'll get are Nintendo games. It's great if you like Nintendo games, but not great for much else.

There's the problem, those games are not for you, but it doesn't mean that the console has no games at all and that those games are not interesting for other people besides you.

I own a switch and I love it but the game drought is very disappointing, the other consoles just have a breadth of variety not available on the Switch, there's something for everyone. I end up playing my PS4 significantly more but I love playing my switch when I have an excuse to.

When I bought Breath of the Wild on Wii U I had the fucking EB employees (who are supposed to be selling the damn thing) telling me they had that many returns of the system due to it bricking out of the box because Nintendo were so paranoid about failure again that they cheaped out and rushed the console.
